Hello, my name is Matt-Trill Chambers. I got into therapy because I became aware of many hurting persons in the world, and I wanted to do my part to provide healing. I’ve worked in different settings, such as an elementary school, group home, and treatment centre. I have a Bachelor of Child and Youth Care degree from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) University and a Child and Youth Worker diploma from George Brown College. I hope to assist people in healing in their mental health journey. I can address various issues, including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, ADHD and other behavioural needs, trauma/racial trauma, and family/relationship dynamics. We can explore your needs and goals to develop a path that works best for you by combining a variety of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I work with children, youth, couples and families.

Your days look successful to others, yet anxiety races beneath the surface. You lie awake replaying conversations, feel your chest tighten in meetings, and wonder why simple tasks drain all your energy. You may catch yourself scrolling, overeating, or snapping at people you love, then feel guilty. Deep down you want calm, confidence, and relationships that don’t exhaust you. You’re ready to understand where these stress loops come from and finally learn skills to break them so you can show up at work, at home, and for yourself with steady ease. You’re ready to understand where these stress loops come from and finally learn skills to break them so you can show up at work, at home, and for yourself with steady ease. I blend evidence-based tools—CBT, DBT, mindfulness—with a warm, anti-oppressive lens. Together we map the patterns driving your stress, teach body-based calming skills, challenge rigid thoughts, and practise boundary-setting. Every session ends with a concrete exercise so progress feels immediate and measurable. Therapy is a big step, and fit matters. Visit my website and book a free 15-minute consult, or tap the email button, and I’ll get back to you. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us via phone or email. If I’m not the best fit, I’ll connect you to someone who is. Relief starts with one step; take it today.

I am Tracy a registered psychotherapist (qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario. I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and Certificate in Concurrent Disorders from University of Toronto/CMHA. Growing up in Jamaica I realized that helping people was of great interest to me. It just felt good helping someone who was hurt, was having a bad day emotionally or simply wanted to talk. This genuine interest in the wellbeing of others, had me dreaming of a profession in which I could provide support to other people. I have over five years experience working with individuals to realize their goals. I am delighted to be helping individuals to navigate through difficult times and celebrate breakthroughs with them. Using a strength-based approach to therapy, I journey with my clients as they discover and rediscover more about themselves and make sense of how their experiences have impacted who they are. Using clients’ support system, I use an integrative approach utilizing Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Solutions Focused Therapy. Everyone has a story I am happy to listen to yours and even help you to re-write it.

LGBTQ+ Friendly & Transgender Safe Space Life can be hard sometimes, but we don’t have to do it all alone. Opening yourself up to someone you do not know is hard, but I strive to make that part as comfortable as possible. I work from an integrative (e.g., psycho-dynamic, emotion-focused, cognitive-behavioural) perspective that is trauma-informed. I always cater therapy to whomever I am working with in order ensure that we are working towards the goals you would like to achieve. The therapeutic relationship is important to me. I strive to create an environment that is warm, open, and non-judgmental. I am open and accepting to any and all of your identities, whether that be religion, race, sexuality, beliefs or even if you have a lifestyle that is different. Individual (Adults and Adolescents) During our first session, I will orient you to what therapy is and how we should be progressing through it. I will also be sharing a bit about myself and how I work. During our first session, you will have a chance to discuss the concerns that have brought you to therapy. We will also get a chance to map out your goals and come up with a plan as to how we will address them within our sessions. A psycho-dynamic perspective will help me understand your past and how it’s influenced your current state, an emotion-focused perspective will help us understand your emotions and how they play a role in your distress and how to alleviate them if they ever feel overwhelming. Lastly, the cognitive-behavioural perspective will help us hone in on maladaptive behaviours and work towards undoing them with a systematic plan. I understand that no two people are the same, so I do my best to be open to learning about a person’s context (religion, culture, race, gender, sexuality, etc.). I believe that these are important aspects of who you are and should be taken into consideration to make therapy more meaningful. Couples The ones who say that relationships are easy are probably the ones who aren’t in relationships. In my work with couples, I strive to equally take both (or more) partners into consideration as we work towards creating a healthier relationship. The journey is ongoing, but it’s worthwhile. Together, we will be tackling communication issues, misunderstandings, triggers, hostility, and more. Sometimes you feel like you’re stuck in an endless cycle with your loved one. But taking the step to address your concerns can alleviate tensions. I will be implementing tools and interventions that pertain to strengthening partnership whilst incorporating what I’ve learnt throughout my education. I have an M.A. in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa. I have experience working with marginalized populations (e.g., Planned Parenthood Ottawa, Family Services Ottawa), in addition to working in private practice. I have worked with a variety of presenting concerns throughout my career (e.g., anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, interpersonal conflict, burnout, sex addiction, self-harm, panic disorder, etc.).
