With more than a decade of experience, I’ve made it my mission to train and acquire the best possible tools. I do the utmost to serve my clients with expertise, and propose strategies that are adapted to their individual needs, so that they can rediscover a sense of purpose, direction and satisfaction. My strategy is to explore a person’s lived experience, so that together we can gather a better understanding of why we do what we do, and feel the way we feel. This knowledge creates opportunities to embrace who we are authentically, while letting go of what no longer serves.
I believe emotions to be a full-bodied experience. There is a powerful healing that occurs when we allow ourselves to not only feel what we need to feel, but also to shift our relationship with our internal experiences. Contact me, and start your journey of empowerment. Innovative Therapy Solutions: Life… Empowered.

The past few years have been challenging for everyone. Many have struggled with feelings of isolation, loss, and strained relationships, leading to a decline in our overall mental health. Taking the first step in seeking help and talking to someone unfamiliar can be difficult but can be beneficial toward improving your well-being.
With 18 years of experience, I have developed extensive knowledge and skills in supporting individuals and families. I have worked in various capacities, including child protection, the education system, and private practice.
Using evidence-based therapy techniques, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills (DBT), and Narrative Therapy, I can assist you in managing your concerns and provide you with the tools needed to build a healthier and more balanced life.
Together, we can work to improve the areas you may be experiencing challenges such as confidence, self-esteem, effectively resolving conflicts, establishing healthy boundaries, and developing effective coping strategies. As a member of the BIPOC community, I recognize the impact of systemic barriers on mental health and operate from a place of equity and anti-oppression. I am passionate about helping individuals on their journey to wellness and self-fulfillment.

Our past experiences often shape our ways of engaging in the present, and I am passionate about supporting people to explore these experiences from a place of compassion and non-judgment. I work with individuals and families who are ready to reconnect with their bodies, gain insight from their emotions, and deepen their connection within their most important relationships. I believe that each person holds the answers within themselves and through our work together, I will support you in building on your unique inner resources to make meaningful changes in your life.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, trauma-sensitive, and affirming of the intersection of our wider social structures on identity and lived experience. I take a holistic perspective in understanding the mind-body connection and, when useful, may integrate components of breathwork, yoga, meditation, and/or expressive arts into our work together.
I know that the reason you are seeking therapy is only one part of your story and it is my intention to hold a safe space for you to bring all parts of yourself into the room. If you’d like to learn more about how therapy works and how I can support you please feel free to reach out to me. You can book a 15 minute consultation to get us started, or even book a session with me at our Guelph Office or a Phone/Video session. Even if you and I are not the right fit, I would be happy to help you find the right therapist for you.

Years ago whilst dealing with some health issues that affected me both mentally and physically a mentor/counsellor told me to “change my thoughts, in order to change my world. Because my present circumstances at the time did not determine were I go, but where I started.” Hence, I do understand how mental and physical struggles can impact one’s life and that admitting to those struggles and asking for help is never easy. Hence, as a therapist with lived-experiences, I am here to walk alongside you on the journey to healing and restoration.
I have a good understanding of addiction, underlying causes and treatment practices. Knowledgeable of mental health illness, symptoms and treatments. Lived experience with health issues that can may and can affect one’s mental health. I offer Couples and Individual therapy. I work from a mindfulness and trauma informed perspective.

Some people have been dealt a difficult hand in life which can make pushing forward seem impossible. Challenges like anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and relational issues can be hard for people to navigate alone. I believe each person has the ability and skill to be able to help themselves, and it is my role to help support people in that process. My job is not to “fix” you, but to guide and assist you in becoming your best self.
I have worked in both clinical and community settings with individuals, families, children, and youth from various ages and backgrounds and have learned much about the strength of the people I have worked with.
I am a calm, non-judgmental individual that will offer you the space to explore your emotions and internal questions. Trust is an important element to building a healthy therapeutic relationship, and I am committed to ensuring the people I work with feel emotionally safe and comfortable. I utilize a strength-based, trauma-informed collaborative approach to therapy. I am not the expert on your life, you are! My goal is to create a plan with my clients to find solutions to address the challenges in their lives. These solutions are created to be tangible and sustainable, all while being sensitive to how past experiences have shaped you. I help people unlearn habits that may no longer serve them and help them acquire new skills. I do this by using an eclectic approach to therapy to decide what method works best to achieve your goals, because one size does not fit all. Cultural sensitivity, humility and awareness are important elements ingrained in how I practice and I am committed to seeing people from a holistic perspective, because people are complex and multi-dimensional.
You don’t have to go through the tough times alone, and if you’re considering therapy, it can be the catalyst to helping you start or continue your healing journey. Ultimately, my hope is for you to receive the support you need. If you think I could be the right therapist for you, please feel free to book a session with me directly, or book a free 15-minute phone consultation if you have any further questions. Even if I may not be the right fit for you, I’d be happy to connect you to someone else who is. Thank you, and I’m looking forward to working together!
