BMHC offers referral services to find mental health professionals throughout Canada to assist with short or long-term life challenges. Our Referral Network Members are all graduates from a recognized mental health Institution and registered with their respective colleges. They offer a wide range of services and can speak to vast life-experiences. Members will work with you to find counselling options that suit your situation, location and financial ability.

Education
BMHC is a provider of year round educational programs. We use various platforms including social media, info sessions (virtual and in person), printed materials (manuals, flyers) to educate on mental health as it relates specifically to the black community. We provide educational support to agencies, corporations, schools and the general public.
Advocacy
BMHC promotes healing and hope to those in need with hopes of shattering stereotypes and stigma associated with mental illness. BMHC works tirelessly of behalf of those struggling with mental health issues to bring about change. We advocate for those who do not have a voice. We want those in need to know and be reminded that they are not alone in their struggles.
Training & Workshops
BMHC offers customized workshops as well as a selection of pre-packaged topics to choose from. A sample of workshop topics include but not limited to:
- Examination of the role and impact of race and culture on black mental health
- Bio psychosocial factors that contribute to mental health issues within the black community
- Practical ways to tackle challenges associated with the rise of mental health issues within the workplace
