Bounce & Balance is a dynamic program designed specifically for Black boys ages 8–14 with ADHD. It combines the power of sports and physical activity with lessons in emotional intelligence to help boys manage anger, build confidence, and strengthen relationships.
Through games, group activities, and mentorship, participants learn how to handle frustration, express themselves assertively, and respect others’ boundaries—all while staying active and having fun.

Our Approach: Bounce + Balance
Together, Bounce & Balance teaches boys how to thrive both on and off the court.

Bounce
Sports and movement are used to release energy, practice teamwork, and explore real-life scenarios (like losing a game, waiting for a turn, or handling conflict)

Balance
Emotional intelligence skills are taught through anger management strategies, reframing negative thoughts, time-outs, and mindful breathing.
Program Goals
Teach anger management and self-regulation strategies.
Participants learn and apply techniques like deep breathing, positive self-talk, and respectful assertiveness to manage anger in real-life situations.
Strengthen assertiveness and boundary-setting.
The program fosters a strong sense of cultural identity and resilience, boosting participants’ self-confidence and belief in their abilities.
Build teamwork and collaboration skills.
Through structured sports and group activities, participants strengthen their collaboration, communication, and empathy skills while respecting personal and group boundaries
Increase cultural pride and resilience.
As participants apply the emotional intelligence and teamwork skills learned in the program, they experience a decrease in disruptive behaviors and conflicts with peers.
