You want to feel confident in who you are, but instead, you find yourself second-guessing everything. You put others first, struggle to set boundaries, and carry the pressure of expectations—from family, culture, school, or relationships. Somewhere along the way, you’ve started to lose your own voice. It’s exhausting, and it can feel incredibly isolating. You’re not alone in this experience. I work with Black teens and young adults who are navigating anxiety, low self-worth, people-pleasing, family pressure, and identity questions. Many of my clients feel misunderstood, emotionally overwhelmed, or stuck between who they are and who they feel they’re supposed to be. In our work together, we’ll slow things down and explore what’s been weighing on you. We’ll work on building healthier boundaries, strengthening your self-worth, and helping you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself. My approach is warm, honest, and collaborative. I offer a culturally sensitive, non-judgmental space where you can show up exactly as you are. I’ll meet you with compassion, but I’ll also gently challenge you when needed—because real growth often happens just outside your comfort zone. I draw from strength-based, person-centred, and solution-focused approaches to support meaningful, lasting change. If you’re ready to feel more confident, more heard, and more in control of your life, I’d be honoured to support you.

You’ve done everything right. You’ve been kind, reliable, strong. But something inside still aches. You’ve tried to fix it through journaling, meditating, staying busy. You stay close to people who don’t really see you, because being alone feels worse. Deep down, there’s a pain that won’t go away. In therapy, we meet that ache together. We slow down so your body can speak, and your heart can be heard. You don’t have to face your feelings alone. When they are met with care, they can begin to soften. With time, something can take root: A steadiness in your body A clear voice that knows what’s true Boundaries that feel kind and firm A gentleness toward yourself you can finally believe in. In addition to working from an emotion-focused and attachment-focused lens, I draw inspiration from my Jamaican (Maroon) roots, honoring intuition, spiritual wisdom, and tuning into the subtle ways life communicates with us. My work is grounded in listening deeply, holding space for the parts of you that have been overlooked, and helping you feel fully seen and understood.

Life can be hard and finding a therapist who truly hears you can be challenging. You might feel that no one understands what you’re going through. Experiencing pain alone may leave you feeling overwhelmed, stressed or numb as the days pass. Eventually the experience may feel like a never-ending rollercoaster with more downs than ups. However, seeking therapy takes strength and courage, and each part of you is welcomed (even your most hurtful parts or the parts you might avoid). Sometimes help is needed to cope with life obstacles, manage interpersonal relationships, regulate your emotions, and heal from your traumatic experiences. By overcoming distressing feelings, behaviors, and thoughts, it will alleviate suffering and open the door to genuine happiness. As we work together, I will empathetically listen to your life experiences while providing a nonjudgmental and supportive environment in which you can be your authentic self, expresses yourself freely, and feel empowered. The process of seeking professional help may seem overwhelming and challenging at first, but it is one of the most important steps on your journey to inner healing. You are welcomed to take the next step by contacting me to determine whether we are a good match!

With more than a decade of experience, I’ve made it my mission to train and acquire the best possible tools. I do the utmost to serve my clients with expertise, and propose strategies that are adapted to their individual needs, so that they can rediscover a sense of purpose, direction and satisfaction. My strategy is to explore a person’s lived experience, so that together we can gather a better understanding of why we do what we do, and feel the way we feel. This knowledge creates opportunities to embrace who we are authentically, while letting go of what no longer serves. I believe emotions to be a full-bodied experience. There is a powerful healing that occurs when we allow ourselves to not only feel what we need to feel, but also to shift our relationship with our internal experiences. Contact me, and start your journey of empowerment. Innovative Therapy Solutions: Life… Empowered.
