Dr. Reece Malone is an award-winning certified sexologist with a Masters of Public Health and a Doctorate of Human Sexuality. His post-graduate training awarded him a certification in sex therapy. He is a certified sexuality education supervisor through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists, and acquired Diplomate status with the American Board of Sexologists. Complimenting his private practice, he is an adjunct professor at Antioch University Seattle Couple and Family Therapy Department.Dr. Reece Malone is the CEO and founder of Sexuality Consultants and Support Services Manitoba, Inc. and counterpart company Diversity Essentials. As an advocate for sexual health and comprehensive human sexuality education, he contributes to public health campaigns, delivers professional development and training, as well as provides consultation on sexual health policy and programming.His therapeutic practice centers client collaboration, and creating an environment for individuals and relationships to be understood, valued, and respected.As an internationally respected sexologist, he has provided consultancy to organizations such as The World Health Organization – Pan American Health Organization, The Canadian Human Rights Commission, The Public Health Agency of Canada, The Alberta’s Children’s Hospital, and the District of Columbia Department of Health. As a go-to media source on contemporary sexuality issues, he’s been featured on CBC National, CBC Radio, and Global National. He has contributed to the Canadian School Counsellor, Family Therapy Magazine, Men’s Journal, and Women and Men Magazine. As a popular culture commentator, he has appeared on Dan Savage’s Savage Love, Chicago Reader, Health.com, Playboy Magazine, and TSN’s Intimately You. Guest faculty lectures include Widener University Center for Human Sexuality Studies, University of Guelph Couple and Family Therapy Program, and The University of Manitoba Faculties of Education, Nursing and Medicine.Collaborating with Mariotta Gary Smith, Marla Renee Stewart and Dr. James Wadley, he is the co-editor of An Intersectional Approach to Sex Therapy: Centering the Lives of Indigenous, Racialized, and People of Color, published by Routledge Press.Dr. Reece, along with his research colleagues, Dr. Robin Westmacott, Matt Francino Caron and Holden Conner, is a recipient of the George and Fay Yee Centre for Healthcare Innovation award for patient engagement research as well as a Manitoba Medical Services Foundation grant recipient for examining healthcare barriers and mental health outcomes experienced by gender diverse Manitobans.Dr. Reece is a qualified expert in trans and non-binary adult health, and has appeared as an expert witness to the Manitoba Board of Adjudication for the Manitoba Human Rights Commission.
