I acknowledge that I am an uninvited visitor gratefully living, working, and playing on the traditional and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.Who I Am As a 2SIQ (2Spirit, Indigiqueer) tastawiyiniwak, transgender, queer, neuroexpansive (audhd, c-ptsd+), and disabled counsellor with mixed swampy cree (from fisher river cree nation), japanese, and Black/african diaspora & scottish (through jamaica) heritage, I bring a rich and intersectional perspective to my practice. My life experiences shape my work and enable me to connect with individuals across a broad range of backgrounds across the lifespan. My work is rooted in culturally informed and holistic practices, creating a warm, safe(r), and inclusive space for healing and growth. My Approach My approach is deeply rooted in spiritual wisdom and reciprocal relationships. My spiritual wisdom arises from my connection to spirit and ancestors, the land, and my inner knowing. I am guided by land-based, liberation-focused, and justice-oriented practices and wholeheartedly embody an indigenized and decolonized worldview. I believe that everyone carries unique gifts and the wisdom to move toward healing, growth, and change. I am not here to show up as an “expert”; I am here to walk alongside you as a partner, collaborator, or even co-conspirator, as you define your own experience. I honour each person’s unique rhythm and hold space for a therapeutic relationship guided by spirit and shared intention.Through the relationships I have built in my personal, nursing, and counselling experiences, I have had the privilege of bearing witness to such a wide range of open, raw, and vulnerable expressions. From survival tools to warmth and protective strategies, I believe that they are all valid and deserve space, compassion, and understanding. In gratitude and reciprocity for the extensions of trust and vulnerability; I bring my gifts, knowledge, and lived-experience to each encounter with deep respect and reverence for our shared connection.Customized Therapeutic Offerings: I offer virtual and outdoor therapy sessions tailored to each person with the following practices: •Nature-Based Therapy: Connecting with the land with movement and stillness to foster well-being and harmony with mother earth. •Body-Mind Healing: Facilitating a process of reconnecting with your body’s wisdom to promote emotional well-being. •Narratives & Storytelling: Rediscovering personal truths through storytelling, leading to healing and growth. •Inner Child Healing & Working with Different Parts of Yourself: Nurturing inner child parts and understanding how aspects of self influence your present. •Embracing Neurodiversity: Encouraging self-acceptance and self-advocacy by exploring your unique rhythms, sensory needs, and strengths. •Earth-Based and Ancestral-Spiritual Integration: Personalize your therapeutic experience with sacred and spiritual elements, including earth-based practices, channelling, and lineage healing. •Creative Expression: Weaving in creative expression, such as art, music, and movement to explore and move with emotion.Additional Areas of Focus: •Intersectional Care: I hold space for the social, cultural, and systemic factors that impact healing, particularly for underrepresented communities. I look at the whole person, knowing our identities and experiences are interconnected. •Hormone Readiness Assessments: I provide guidance and support for the completion of hormone-readiness assessments. I assist those I work with in navigating this journey while advocating for their rights and autonomy. •Abolition: I advocate for dismantling carceral and oppressive systems and dream of community-centred,transformative ways of caring for each other. I aim to create a space rooted in respect, collaboration, and empowerment that is guided by compassion and a commitment to equity.Life Beyond Therapy Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time in the woods, in bodies of water, on mountains, in ceremony, and in the company of my cats, Russia and Sochi.
