As an immigrant raising a family, I acknowledge the challenges of being an immigrant, visible minority and culturally different. The experience brings with it learning, celebrations, challenges, gains, and lossMy background and experience as an immigrant have enabled me to appreciate the experiences of those that are culturally different, immigrants, and those navigating cross-cultural challenges in various aspects of their lives including relationships, workplace, perception of self and life in general. I work with individuals, couples and families who have experienced loss either through illness, death or other life and relationship changes; domestic abuse and support for survivors of narcissistic abuse, trauma and abuse, family conflict, relationship challenges and separation, and cross-cultural issues.In my approach to counselling, I am sensitive to my client's cultural background, beliefs, and values. I take an eclectic approach to counselling, integrating different approaches to address the client’s specific issues. I provide practical and effective therapy in a nurturing, safe and non-judgemental environment to help you gain insight that directs you toward your goals.
