Are you a professional working as a Christian or faith-based counselor or therapist? Do you find it challenging to blend your faith-driven counseling methods with secular approaches? Are you looking for a supportive community of Christian counselors who understand the unique challenges you face and can offer guidance and support?
Black Mental Health Canada is aware of the complexities involved in integrating spiritual and secular counseling practices. To help address these challenges and create a supportive network, we have collaborated with Ibukun Ogunsina, a registered therapist and Christian counselor. We are excited to launch the Christian Counselors Support Group, an initiative aimed at addressing the particular issues and dilemmas faced by Christian counselors operating within a secular context. This support group is designed to be a space where you can share experiences, strategies, and insights, benefiting from the collective wisdom and support of peers familiar with the intricacies of managing these two realms. We invite you to join this supportive and enriching community to strengthen your practice and maintain your faith-based counseling principles.
This group will run on the first Monday of every month, for 3 sessions, with each session lasting 1.5 hours, starting Monday, May 6th, from 6pm-7:30pm. Join us as we embark on this journey of growth, healing, and empowerment together.
