Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. Whether you’re exploring therapy for the first time or returning to it, I want you to know that you’re not alone—and that healing is possible. I am a compassionate and experienced social worker with over 19 years in the social services field, including child welfare, advocacy, healthcare, teaching, consulting, psychotherapy, and clinical counselling. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and am registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. My practice is rooted in a culturally affirming, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive lens, with a deep commitment to supporting mental health and wellbeing—particularly within Black and racialized communities. As your therapist, my goal is to build an authentic and trusting connection where healing and change can take place. I recognize that each person is unique, and I believe there is strength in diversity. Our lived experiences equip us with insight and resilience, and I aim to help you access those inner resources as we navigate personal challenges together. I offer individual counselling and psychotherapy services in-person in Thunder Bay, and virtual services across Ontario. I also provide consulting services anchored in equity, diversity, and inclusion, supporting organizations and professionals in creating more inclusive and responsive environments. My therapeutic approach is eclectic and client-centered, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) Narrative Therapy Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Solution-Focused Therapy Strength-Based and Emotionally Focused approaches I am passionate about supporting individuals and families through a trauma-focused and culturally sensitive lens. I strive to create a safe, inclusive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. If you’re curious about the therapeutic process or wondering whether therapy is right for you, I invite you to reach out for a free consultation. I would be honoured to support you on your journey toward healing, growth, and resilience.

You’ve done everything right. You’ve been kind, reliable, strong. But something inside still aches. You’ve tried to fix it through journaling, meditating, staying busy. You stay close to people who don’t really see you, because being alone feels worse. Deep down, there’s a pain that won’t go away. In therapy, we meet that ache together. We slow down so your body can speak, and your heart can be heard. You don’t have to face your feelings alone. When they are met with care, they can begin to soften. With time, something can take root: A steadiness in your body A clear voice that knows what’s true Boundaries that feel kind and firm A gentleness toward yourself you can finally believe in. In addition to working from an emotion-focused and attachment-focused lens, I draw inspiration from my Jamaican (Maroon) roots, honoring intuition, spiritual wisdom, and tuning into the subtle ways life communicates with us. My work is grounded in listening deeply, holding space for the parts of you that have been overlooked, and helping you feel fully seen and understood.
