**OFFERING VIRTUAL THERAPY ACROSS ONTARIO** I work with clients who are unhappy, distressed, or stuck as a result of molding themselves to fit expectations that others have of them and struggle with being themselves in their relationships. I help you become more firm and secure in who you are: your authentic selves and self-expression so that you can cultivate relationships that honour these things. As a Black woman and trained Couple and Family Therapist, I approach therapy relationally and systemically. This means that I pay attention to how your contexts (e.g. society, culture, relationships, etc.)-past and present- influence your experience in various aspects of your life, including your mental wellbeing and relationships. I work with you to support you in moving from where you are now to where you want be; we examine what might be getting in the way of you reaching that place and how you can navigate these challenges in ways that honour your authenticity. My approach is grounded in the strong values I hold around social justice, anti-oppressive and trauma informed practice, intentionality, humour, and the therapeutic relationship. I invite you to schedule a free 15 minute consultation call to see if we would be a good fit.
