Nathalie Esinam Ahotoh is the Clinical Director of Franat Counselling Services. She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, a Diploma in Education, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. With over a decade of experience teaching elementary students before immigrating to Canada. In her new community in Saskatoon, Nathalie transitioned to roles supporting individuals with disabilities and autism spectrum disorder, as well as those facing substance use challenges and mental health concerns. Driven by a deep compassion for others, Nathalie pursued advanced studies in mental health and counselling psychology. She values the uniqueness of every individual and adopts an integrative approach, tailoring interventions to each client’s specific needs. Nathalie offers a warm, non-judgmental, and safe environment where clients can share their stories and develop new narratives to enrich their quality of life. Nathalie employs a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centred Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, and Existential Therapy. Her areas of expertise include stress management, grief, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, substance use and addiction-related issues, and cross-cultural adjustment.
