Navigating through depression can be particularly daunting for black women, who often face a myriad of unique challenges and societal pressures. Recognizing this, BMHC is proud to unveil a dedicated space for healing and support specifically crafted to address the needs of our sisters.
BMHC (QUEENS) has partnered with social worker and speaker, Judy Gabriel-Virgo, who will be facilitating Breaking Through Depression to offer not just a support group—it’s a sanctuary for growth and empowerment. Over the course of 8- 10 weeks, participants will embark on a journey of self-discovery, guided by evidence-based counseling techniques and tailored practices designed to address the intersectional nature of depression within the black community. With only 25 spots available, this intimate group setting ensures personalized attention and support for every participant.
