Connecting Deeply for Peace of Mind At Awakening Counselling and Consulting Services, Inc., our work is rooted in one guiding belief: when people are supported in connecting deeply with themselves, meaningful healing and lasting peace of mind become possible. We understand that life’s challenges—trauma, stress, relationships, identity concerns, burnout, and major transitions—can leave individuals feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unseen. Our role is to offer a calm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where clients can slow down, feel safe, and begin to make sense of their experiences. Awakening Counselling and Consulting Services, Inc. provides trauma-informed, culturally responsive counselling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and communities. We honour the complexity of each person’s story and recognize that healing takes place within relationships, lived experiences, and broader systems. Our approach integrates evidence-based practices with relational, client-centred care, always guided by respect, collaboration, and dignity. We believe therapy is not about fixing or pathologizing people. It is about walking alongside clients as they reconnect with their inner wisdom, strengths, and values—supporting deeper self-awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience. Through this process of connection, clients are better able to navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and move forward with clarity and confidence. At its heart, Awakening is about connection: connection to self, connection to others, and connection to a sense of balance and wellbeing.

Welcome, I’m glad you’re here! Life can be challenging, and no one should carry the weight of these experiences alone. You deserve to be heard, and I am here to support you. As someone who has attended therapy, I recognize the various emotions you may be feeling as you consider reaching out for support. I acknowledge the level of vulnerability you are bringing into the room, and I am committed to holding a safe space for you. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I have also obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and an Advanced Diploma in Child and Youth Care. My approach to counselling is client-centred, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, culturally sensitive, and strengths-based. During our sessions, I will draw from various therapeutic modalities, particularly Narrative Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). Healing looks different for everyone, and my therapeutic approach will be tailored to best suit your needs. I have over 5 years of experience working with survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual violence. I also have lived experiences in both areas. Additionally, I am experienced in supporting adolescents and adults facing challenges with self-esteem, emotional regulation, relational trauma, and general life stressors/transitions. Less Than a Year

Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here, and I hope you come to find that you are exactly where you need to be. I’m Sena, an avid traveller, foodie, friend and an active member of my cultural community! I am also a first-generation Canadian, who has undergone and therefore understands the complexity of navigating multiple identities and worlds— balancing cultural expectations, generational differences, and the silent struggles of seeking help when it’s not always encouraged. These experiences have shaped my passion for finding balance, clarity, and self-understanding in my own life—and now, for helping others do the same. Over time, I have found that healing often involves finding a sense of alignment: with ourselves, our values, and the parts of us that have been overlooked or silenced. All of this has made me kind but honest, gentle but direct, and most of all, committed to walking alongside you with openness, empathy, and deep respect for your story. I have had the honour of working in a range of settings with people of all ages, cultures, and needs. Combined with my own experience navigating cultural identity and the emotional weight of feeling ‘in between’ worlds, I have become passionate about supporting culturally diverse individuals—including newcomers and fellow first-generation Canadians—who are navigating identity, isolation, family expectations, and the emotional impact of change or trauma. I also have a deep interest in working with individuals from marginalized or underserved communities. Above all, I am committed to offering inclusive, non-judgemental care to anyone willing to engage in the therapeutic process, no matter where they are starting from. In terms of credentials, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Criminology and am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. My professional background includes teaching middle school students, working in a youth custody, supporting adults in a residential rehabilitation centre, and counselling refugees. These diverse experiences have deepened my understanding of the many ways people navigate challenges, trauma, and change. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and client-centred care. I draw from various modalities—such as Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based approaches, and Humanistic frameworks—but always tailor my work to your needs and goals. I offer in-person sessions at the Mississauga location, as well as secure virtual sessions. Taking the first step is hard—but you’re here and I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey toward greater clarity, alignment, and piece of mind!
