Sabrina is a first-generation Canadian racialized Black woman of African Caribbean ancestry. She brings both personal and professional experience into the therapy space, creating an environment that embraces all of your intersectionalities. She has 20 years of experience in social service settings both in direct care and management, supervising social workers. Over the years, Sabrina has helped adults, children, youth and families in crisis in both big city and rural communities. She has helped clients navigate trauma, mental health, intimate partner violence, human trafficking, substance misuse, housing/food scarcities, loss, abuse, neglect, and racism. At her practice in Mississauga, Ontario, she centers supporting women through midlife — perimenopause and menopause – whether it’s vasomotor symptoms (hot flashes and night sweats), sleep disturbances, depression, anxiety, sexual concerns, urogenital problems, psychological and emotional shifts impacting on relationships with partners/spouses, children, and at work. These women are often also caring for children, managing careers, and supporting aging parents who may be living with dementia. The generation that Sabrina works with feel compelled to do everything. Life is compressed for them and working with a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist can provide meaningful support, practical tools, and a grounded, compassionate, and deeply validating space for them during this significant life phase. Sabrina specializes in supporting persons experiencing the following: Distressing Symptoms associated with Perimenopause/Menopause, Caregiving for Aging Parents, Caring for People Living with Dementia, Caregiver Burden, Raising their Own Children, All While Often Managing Careers and their Own Households (Sandwich Generation), Managing Health Anxiety, Life Stages, Changes and Transitions, Stress Management, Work Stress, Critical Work Incident(s), Trauma, Racial Harm & Trauma, Navigating Relationship Issues (Personal & Professional), Nervous System Regulation, Anxiety, and Challenges Related to Grief and Loss. Sabrina uses an integrative approach that draws from evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (M-CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Strength-Based Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Family & Eco-Systems, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centred Approach, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Compassion Focused Therapy, and Culturally Affirming, Trauma-Informed, Faith-Based Perspectives. Rather than focusing solely on insight or verbal processing, through Somatic Practices/Somatic Experiencing, Sabrina invites the body’s implicit memories and responses into the therapeutic process. She also supports faith-based counselling for clients who wish to bring their faith or spirituality into therapy. Her goal is to create a warm, safe, and attuned environment where clients feel supported, understood, and can work together towards better managing distressing symptoms, strengthening relationship with self and others, and simply feel more grounded day-to-day. If you are looking for a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist who offers trauma-informed, whole-person, culturally affirming therapy, Sabrina would be honored to walk alongside you during this significant life phase. Reach out when you’re ready to experience real support. She is located quite centrally, in Meadowvale with proximity to Highway 401 and 407, and Meadowvale Go Station. Sessions are also offered online.

Hello! My name is André, a registered psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I have always been curious about relationships and how they shape us. In my experience, love, joy, grief, loss, trauma, anger, conflict, and other emotions all happen in the context of relationships. My goal as your therapist is to help you explore and strengthen your relationship with yourself and others. I focus on relationships, mainly drawing on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy, using a strength-based approach to help individuals, couples, and families. I also have a passion for working with youth (ages 13-18) and experience providing court-mandated and domestic violence programs. With over a decade of experience as a law enforcement officer, I understand the value of embarking on a mental health journey that focuses on self-care and resilience while balancing professional and personal demands. How are you feeling? Let’s explore together to work through your challenges and discover your authentic self. You are enough.
