I provide therapy to individuals and families that are experiencing emotions which often feel like they’re taking control of their lives in finding their voice and regaining confidence. Feelings of depression and anxiety can quickly become overwhelming, along with the daily hustle and commotion that accompanies our lives. Worries, frustration, and motivation can become challenging to manage for individuals living with depression, anxiety, and high life stress.

I believe that each person carries the ability to grow, and when given the right tools and support, can thrive under any environment. As a psychotherapist, it is my job to help clients foster this change by using my educational background, experience, and insight. I work with individuals of all ages, couples, and families and understand the importance of relationships, and how at our core, everyone wants to be heard. I see therapy as a resource that can be used to see strengths, create confidence, and develop skills that will last a lifetime. I look forward to building up my clients and find joy in helping them find their voice. I provide a non-judgmental and person-centred approach that can assist clients with a variety of different challenges. I also implement other modalities such as cognitive-behavioural therapy and solution focused therapy in order to cater the work to each individual client and help them reach their desired goals. My work is also collaborative, which fosters lasting change. For more information on how I conduct therapy, or if you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to book a first session or a free 15-minute consultation.

As a psychotherapist, I see myself as a facilitator of change and a witness to my clients’ journeys of self-discovery. I believe that everyone has the potential for growth and transformation, and I feel honored to accompany my clients on their path towards healing and wholeness. Taking after others who have inspired me, I encourage my clients to step into their power and courageously embrace their vulnerability as a source of strength and connection. My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and curiosity. I strive to create a non-judgmental and supportive environment where clients feel heard, seen, and understood. By listening with compassionate inquiry, I help my clients identify their limiting beliefs, cultivate self-compassion, and develop a growth mindset. While I draw on various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and eclectic approaches, I tailor my approach to each of my client’s unique needs, goals, and preferences, with the aim of empowering them to navigate life’s challenges with confidence, clarity, and purpose. I’m looking forward to helping you on your journey! Feel free to book an initial session or a free 15-minute phone consultation using the links on this page. I welcome you be the architect of your own life! I believe that challenges can be beautiful, albeit it deeply painful, opportunities to create a life you feel inspired to live and nourished by living. There is hope in every situation, and often life’s greatest lessons are learned during it’s biggest obstacles. Life is not always easy, sometimes it can be excruciatingly difficult. The hardships of life and its many transitions, may they be sought out, natural throughout the life span, or ones that blindside you on some idle afternoon can leave you feeling like you’re just trying to survive, going through the motions on autopilot, or as though life has happened ‘to’ you. And then the questions come: Who am I? How did I get here? The life you have doesn’t reflect the one you imagined. While we cannot change the past, we can choose to create meaning in our experiences, and determine how its legacy comes forward with us. My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, humble curiosity, and respect and appreciation for innate humanity. I believe in the capacity for our own evolution, and the beauty and strength in resilience. My hope is that our work together will support you to build your sense of competence and clarity so that you may live a life that you value, and in which your relationship with yourself and others feel well. The smallest act of bravery has the power to create meaningful momentum towards wellness in life. I welcome you to seize this moment and connect to the support you deserve and make the change you are longing for. For more information on how therapy works, and how I can support you, please feel welcome to connect with me by phone or email. It would be my privilege to support you.

Our past experiences often shape our ways of engaging in the present, and I am passionate about supporting people to explore these experiences from a place of compassion and non-judgment. I work with individuals and families who are ready to reconnect with their bodies, gain insight from their emotions, and deepen their connection within their most important relationships. I believe that each person holds the answers within themselves and through our work together, I will support you in building on your unique inner resources to make meaningful changes in your life. My approach to therapy is collaborative, trauma-sensitive, and affirming of the intersection of our wider social structures on identity and lived experience. I take a holistic perspective in understanding the mind-body connection and, when useful, may integrate components of breathwork, yoga, meditation, and/or expressive arts into our work together. I know that the reason you are seeking therapy is only one part of your story and it is my intention to hold a safe space for you to bring all parts of yourself into the room. If you’d like to learn more about how therapy works and how I can support you please feel free to reach out to me. You can book a 15 minute consultation to get us started, or even book a session with me at our Guelph Office or a Phone/Video session. Even if you and I are not the right fit, I would be happy to help you find the right therapist for you.

People enter my office for a variety of reasons. Sometimes they find it difficult to make a decision or feel that they cannot get out of a vicious circle of problems, struggle to adapt to new conditions or don’t feel safe, and sometimes it is simply difficult for them to live from day to day due to mental health or physical concerns. Sometimes they want to help their loved ones and don’t know how. They often want to feel free from feelings of hopelessness and helplessness, overcome the struggles and move forward. Even when we feel weak and vulnerable, we use our great adaptive and personal resources, but we sometimes stop seeing it. Together we explore these strengths and external resources if needed, experiment with new cognitive and behavioral patterns to become flexible and adaptive again. I use emotionally and solution focused, humanistic and experimental approaches, and do my best to support my clients in their self-acceptance and finding the integrity. For more information on my training and how I do individual or couple therapy, feel free to contact me through my email and phone. If you and I are not the right fit, I am happy to help you find the right therapist for you.
