Location: Dayirai is registered in AB, BC, ON, NWT and NS where she provides virtual and telehealth services

Dayirai pronounced (Dye-Rye) is a registered Clinical Social Worker (RCSW) living in Alberta. In addition, she is registered to provide tele-practice in the following provinces: Ontario, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, and the Northwest Territories. Dayirai obtained her Master of Social Work degree from Ryerson University and has provided mental wellness, coaching and consulting services to individuals, families, couples, and communities for over 12 years. Her early beginnings as a grassroots social worker in Ontario exposed her to the dynamics of children and families marginalized in society, whether by language as new immigrants, economics, and generational problems of mental health, addiction, and trauma. Dayirai’s social work career path has been intentionally varied in keeping with the profession’s presence in multiple spaces where social health and well-being are achieved through client-centeredness, collaboration, and leading change to promote social justice and social development. “My passion is partnering and working with clients to help them navigate systems and thrive. I provide a compassionate and creative presence in attending to whatever the clients bring to our work. My approach is respectful, authentic, ‘straightforward,’ strengths-based, recovery-oriented, solution-focused, empowering, anti-oppressive, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I’m not afraid to talk about the hard or awkward stuff, and I’m also not afraid to let clients know when they’re standing in their way. My goal is to meet clients where they are and to be helpful in a way that is specific to their circumstances.”

💡Who I am: Hello! Welcome to my profile. My name is Lethicia, I’m a trained trauma therapist, that specialises in working with youth, adults, couples and families. I’m a passionate, hardworking second generation immigrant, who loves getting to know other people’s stories and create sustainable ecosystems for others to thrive in. Little facts: I’m the oldest of 4, I speak/write French fluently and my family is a Canadian Military Family. 💡What I do: Drawing from evidence-based research and best practices in emotional, cognitive and behavioural science, I craft a therapeutic space for my clients to deepen their self-understanding, their motivation for healing & wellness and build a toolbox to strengthen their relationships, personally and professionally. As a therapist, I have an anti-oppressive lens, while using a systemic, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed approach. I welcome all people, from different walks of life! Reconnecting our Mind, Body and Soul is a lifetime exploration that you have power over. My role is to cultivate the warrior within you while empowering you to hone the tools you need to heal and thrive through hardship while building the life you want to live.

You might be feeling constant over-thinking or anxiety that is hard to quiet; not good enough, even when you try your best; stuck in relationship patterns that leave you hurt or confused; drained from people-pleasing or struggling to set boundaries, uncertain about who you are, and disconnected from yourself, emotions or body. If this sounds familiar, you are not alone and these patterns can shift. We would shift these patterns through understanding thought processes, create connections with your emotions to express them safely, and get in touch with your body. Emphasis would be on emotional safety, collaboration, and nervous system regulation. We would focus on how your system learnt to survive relational pain and how to build safer ways of relate. As a clinical supervisor, my focus is on the person of the clinician, as much as their clinical skills because who we are influences how we show up in the therapeutic space. I take on a relational style; so, my hope is to transition from a guide to a companion in the supervisory relationship to facilitate and encourage independence in supervisees.
