Hi! I’m Tolulola Taiwo-Hanna (Tolu), and I am a registered social worker and psychotherapist in Ontario, with a bachelor’s degree in social work and a minor in psychology, as well as a master’s degree in social work. In my clinical practice, I have had the privilege of working in women’s mental health, general psychiatry, and gerontology, helping individuals, couples and families navigate significant life transitions, trauma, racial trauma, microaggressions, grief, conflict, interpersonal relationships, and low self-esteem. I use a client-centered (humanistic), anti-oppressive and transformative social work practice approach. As a Nigerian-Canadian, my practice is rooted in principles of Afrocentrism anchored in the belief that we cannot be[come] whole in isolation, and that there is something greater than ourselves that is beyond what our eyes can see. To better meet the needs of each individual client, I apply an integrative approach to psychotherapy, weaving together different treatment modalities from my training and personal experience. Together, I hope we can bring you to a place of healing; help you hold your thoughts and feelings with an open hand; work toward identifying your values and living more closely in line with them; and deepen your sense of self-love while simultaneously adopting a more loving posture toward those around you.

Hello! My name is André, a registered psychotherapist (qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I have always been curious about relationships and how they shape us. In my experience, love, joy, grief, loss, trauma, anger, conflict, and other emotions all happen in the context of relationships. My goal as your therapist is to help you explore and strengthen your relationship with yourself and others. I focus on relationships, mainly drawing on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy, using a strength-based approach to help individuals, couples, and families. I also have a passion for working with youth (ages 13-18) and experience providing court-mandated and domestic violence programs. With over a decade of experience as a law enforcement officer, I understand the value of embarking on a mental health journey that focuses on self-care and resilience while balancing professional and personal demands. How are you feeling? Let’s explore together to work through your challenges and discover your authentic self. You are enough.

I’m so glad you’re here and considering therapy as part of your journey toward healing and growth. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. I know it can feel overwhelming to reach out for help, especially when you’re not sure what to expect or where to start. It’s normal to feel uncertain, and it’s okay to take your time finding the right support. My goal is to create a space where you can feel comfortable, seen, and truly heard, without fear of judgment. My journey into psychotherapy is shaped by my lived experiences and a deep passion for helping others navigate their healing. As a first-generation immigrant with multiple intersecting identities, I understand the complexities of moving in spaces that weren’t designed for you. I’ve experienced the challenges of feeling unseen or misunderstood, and how isolating that can be. This personal understanding guides how I approach therapy, with openness, cultural awareness, and a commitment to truly hearing you. I believe in the power of growth and transformation, and I know that healing happens when we feel truly seen, respected, and supported. That’s why I’m committed to providing a space where you can explore your feelings and experiences without fear of judgment. I’m dedicated to creating an environment that is inclusive, culturally safe, and particularly supportive for Black, Racialized, and Queer communities. Together, we can work at your pace, honouring where you are in your journey. My approach to therapy is client-centred, anti-oppressive, culturally informed, and trauma-informed, all grounded in social justice principles. I believe that every person’s journey is unique, and I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities to tailor my approach to your individual needs. This includes techniques like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), among others. Your journey is uniquely yours, and I’m here to offer the support and space you need to explore it. Together, we’ll work at your pace, honouring where you are and where you want to go. I look forward to being a part of your healing process. Ready to take the next step? I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can connect and see if we’re a good fit.

I believe relationships have an impact on every area of a person’s life. The most important being the relationship with yourself. Our complex society has made navigating relationships challenging to say the least. Simply put, we could all use some help from someone we can openly talk to without fear of judgement. Over the past 10 years in the social work field I have had the opportunity to work the front lines of the non-profit, education and government sectors. This has afforded me hands on case management, mental health, child welfare, research, counselling, mediation, and consultation experience. I practice from an anti-oppressive framework committed to diversity, equity and inclusion. I implement a solutions focused approach (drawing from other modalities as appropriate) to enable my clients to realize their strengths, thereby empowering them to take the necessary steps towards health, happiness and successful relationships. In addition to my work as a psychotherapist I also plan and host self help events in and around the GTA. I was also a youtube video influencer for a couple of years before starting RoP, primarily focusing on relationships.

You’ve done everything right. You’ve been kind, reliable, strong. But something inside still aches. You’ve tried to fix it through journaling, meditating, staying busy. You stay close to people who don’t really see you, because being alone feels worse. Deep down, there’s a pain that won’t go away. In therapy, we meet that ache together. We slow down so your body can speak, and your heart can be heard. You don’t have to face your feelings alone. When they are met with care, they can begin to soften. With time, something can take root: A steadiness in your body A clear voice that knows what’s true Boundaries that feel kind and firm A gentleness toward yourself you can finally believe in. In addition to working from an emotion-focused and attachment-focused lens, I draw inspiration from my Jamaican (Maroon) roots, honoring intuition, spiritual wisdom, and tuning into the subtle ways life communicates with us. My work is grounded in listening deeply, holding space for the parts of you that have been overlooked, and helping you feel fully seen and understood.

Hi, I’m Kerry-Ann, a Registered Social Worker in the provinces of Ontario, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. My super power is creating A Safe Space To Unmask. In sessions, I try to cultivate an environment where people feel alright being themselves, feeling their feelings, asking others for what they need, being supported as they try to heal from their past, feel empowered as they attempt to address current challenges, and feel hopeful about their ability to navigate whatever the future has in store. I’ve been where you are, I’m no stranger to anxiety, depression, trauma, or the guilt-shame spiral. I’ve been on my own journey of courageous exploration, so I have great respect for you as you navigate your unique journey. I’m passionate about the therapeutic process and supporting change. I specialize in individual counselling because I truly believe society is structured in a way that forces us to share the stage the majority of the time. In my practice you, your needs, and your desires takes centre stage. In session with me, you will be HEARD, RESPECTED, AND SUPPORTED. Good therapy is grounded in openness and trust. If your “spidey sense” is telling you I might be a good fit for you, then I encourage you to reach out to schedule an appointment: https://abccounselling.janeapp.com/
