Your days look successful to others, yet anxiety races beneath the surface. You lie awake replaying conversations, feel your chest tighten in meetings, and wonder why simple tasks drain all your energy. You may catch yourself scrolling, overeating, or snapping at people you love, then feel guilty. Deep down you want calm, confidence, and relationships that don’t exhaust you. You’re ready to understand where these stress loops come from and finally learn skills to break them so you can show up at work, at home, and for yourself with steady ease.

I blend evidence-based tools—CBT, DBT, mindfulness—with a warm, anti-oppressive lens. Together we map the patterns driving your stress, teach body-based calming skills, challenge rigid thoughts, and practise boundary-setting. Every session ends with a concrete exercise so progress feels immediate and measurable.

Life can be hard and finding a therapist who truly hears you can be challenging. You might feel that no one understands what you’re going through. Experiencing pain alone may leave you feeling overwhelmed, stressed or numb as the days pass. Eventually the experience may feel like a never-ending rollercoaster with more downs than ups. However, seeking therapy takes strength and courage, and each part of you is welcomed (even your most hurtful parts or the parts you might avoid). Sometimes help is needed to cope with life obstacles, manage interpersonal relationships, regulate your emotions, and heal from your traumatic experiences.
By overcoming distressing feelings, behaviors, and thoughts, it will alleviate suffering and open the door to genuine happiness. As we work together, I will empathetically listen to your life experiences while providing a nonjudgmental and supportive environment in which you can be your authentic self, expresses yourself freely, and feel empowered.
The process of seeking professional help may seem overwhelming and challenging at first, but it is one of the most important steps on your journey to inner healing. You are welcomed to take the next step by contacting me to determine whether we are a good match!

Life often comes at us in ways that leave little room to breathe, feel, and reflect. This can create a cycle of survival that forces us to simply ‘get over’ what impacts us. I support clients in slowing down and tending to their mental and emotional well-being. I help clients understand the experiences that influence how they move through the world, foster compassion for how they have survived thus far, and develop new ways to care for themselves. I also gently challenge clients to recognize and lean into their strengths.
I work with racialized individuals experiencing burnout, folks exploring their sexuality and gender identity, and couples navigating cultural differences. I practice from a place of cultural humility and honour how your identities shape your worldview. I also believe in bringing laughter into the therapy room when we can.
Seeking help is a tremendous step that can feel daunting and hard to navigate alone. I am happy to chat with you about the therapeutic journey and how I can support you.

I’m a trained creative arts therapist and somatic therapy practitioner based in Tiohtia:ke/Montreal. My approach to therapy is essentially somatic, trauma-informed, person-centered and anchored in the assumptions of liberation psychology, anti-oppression & response-based practice.
I have practiced drama therapy and mental health counselling in community settings, with a focus on supporting marginalized Black folks, BIPOC and QTBIPOC youth. I am committed to a decolonized or re-indigenized view of health. Instead of viewing behavior and symptoms through the lens of pathology, I ask: How has your nervous system been responding to the world around it, and why? How can we work together to build compassionate understanding for these responses, while remaining curious as to what new responses may better suit who you currently are and what you desire?
Together, we can work towards your goals and support you in remembering and reconnecting to your own inherent resiliency and sacred resources for navigating all of life’s challenges.
Depending on the needs of those I work with, I draw tools from different therapeutic approaches:
Drama therapy, with some tools drawn from art, music and dance movement therapy
Mindfulness-based techniques
Person-centered therapy (humanistic)
Emotion-focused therapy
Solution-focused therapy
Somatic and EMDR therapy
Compassion-focused therapy
Strength-based approach
Response-based practice
Internal family systems therapy (IFS)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
I am not currently open to new clients in my practice. I will likely be open to new clients as of January 2026.

My journey into psychotherapy is deeply rooted in my personal experiences and passion for helping others. At the tender age of six, I witnessed the horrors of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, an event that took my parents’ lives and the majority of my family members and left me and my siblings to navigate life amidst profound trauma and loss. Growing up in orphanages and foster homes, I faced challenges that far exceeded typical childhood experiences. Despite these adversities, I found hope, resilience, and purpose.
Migrating to Canada from Rwanda in 2010 marked a turning point in my life. My journey’s struggles and triumphs have shaped my commitment to mental health advocacy and my desire to support others through their own healing processes. I believe in the power of transformation and the human spirit’s ability to overcome even the most challenging circumstances.
Approach to Therapy:
As a therapist fluent in French and English, my therapy approach is trauma-informed and person-centered. I offer culturally sensitive therapy tailored to diverse clients, BIPOC, Afro-Black communities, and beyond.
Drawing from a rich background in Clinical Counselling, my therapy is tailored to individual needs. It blends psychoeducation on brain health with evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, MBCT, ITATM, and trauma-focused therapies. I offer a supportive space to explore life challenges and improve cognitive functioning.
I confidently utilize an integrative psychotherapy approach to support my clients, whether they desire to incorporate Christian faith into their therapy sessions or not. My expertise allows me to serve individuals with or without a faith-based focus, providing comprehensive care tailored to their specific needs.
I understand that your journey is unique. I look forward to journeying with you through life’s challenges with empathy and compassion.
Your story is unique, and I would be honored to journey with you.
