I welcome you be the architect of your own life! I believe that challenges can be beautiful, albeit it deeply painful, opportunities to create a life you feel inspired to live and nourished by living. There is hope in every situation, and often life’s greatest lessons are learned during it’s biggest obstacles. Life is not always easy, sometimes it can be excruciatingly difficult. The hardships of life and its many transitions, may they be sought out, natural throughout the life span, or ones that blindside you on some idle afternoon can leave you feeling like you’re just trying to survive, going through the motions on autopilot, or as though life has happened ‘to’ you. And then the questions come: Who am I? How did I get here? The life you have doesn’t reflect the one you imagined. While we cannot change the past, we can choose to create meaning in our experiences, and determine how its legacy comes forward with us. My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, humble curiosity, and respect and appreciation for innate humanity. I believe in the capacity for our own evolution, and the beauty and strength in resilience. My hope is that our work together will support you to build your sense of competence and clarity so that you may live a life that you value, and in which your relationship with yourself and others feel well. The smallest act of bravery has the power to create meaningful momentum towards wellness in life. I welcome you to seize this moment and connect to the support you deserve and make the change you are longing for. For more information on how therapy works, and how I can support you, please feel welcome to connect with me by phone or email. It would be my privilege to support you.

Our past experiences often shape our ways of engaging in the present, and I am passionate about supporting people to explore these experiences from a place of compassion and non-judgment. I work with individuals and families who are ready to reconnect with their bodies, gain insight from their emotions, and deepen their connection within their most important relationships. I believe that each person holds the answers within themselves and through our work together, I will support you in building on your unique inner resources to make meaningful changes in your life. My approach to therapy is collaborative, trauma-sensitive, and affirming of the intersection of our wider social structures on identity and lived experience. I take a holistic perspective in understanding the mind-body connection and, when useful, may integrate components of breathwork, yoga, meditation, and/or expressive arts into our work together. I know that the reason you are seeking therapy is only one part of your story and it is my intention to hold a safe space for you to bring all parts of yourself into the room. If you’d like to learn more about how therapy works and how I can support you please feel free to reach out to me. You can book a 15 minute consultation to get us started, or even book a session with me at our Guelph Office or a Phone/Video session. Even if you and I are not the right fit, I would be happy to help you find the right therapist for you.

People enter my office for a variety of reasons. Sometimes they find it difficult to make a decision or feel that they cannot get out of a vicious circle of problems, struggle to adapt to new conditions or don’t feel safe, and sometimes it is simply difficult for them to live from day to day due to mental health or physical concerns. Sometimes they want to help their loved ones and don’t know how. They often want to feel free from feelings of hopelessness and helplessness, overcome the struggles and move forward. Even when we feel weak and vulnerable, we use our great adaptive and personal resources, but we sometimes stop seeing it. Together we explore these strengths and external resources if needed, experiment with new cognitive and behavioral patterns to become flexible and adaptive again. I use emotionally and solution focused, humanistic and experimental approaches, and do my best to support my clients in their self-acceptance and finding the integrity. For more information on my training and how I do individual or couple therapy, feel free to contact me through my email and phone. If you and I are not the right fit, I am happy to help you find the right therapist for you.

When life doesn’t seem to be going according to plan we can be left feeling isolated, overwhelmed, and unsure of what step to take next. It is my belief however that we each have within us all we need to succeed and thrive in our lives, sometimes it just gets buried under all of our “stuff” and we could use a hand to rediscover it. I’m continually inspired by the strength, resilience, and creativity demonstrated in the life stories of the people I work with and consider it a privilege to be invited to walk alongside them for a chapter or two. I respect the courage it takes to reach out for support, so welcome, I’m glad you’re here! I feel it’s through supportive relationships that we foster growth and understanding about ourselves; and so I strive to create a safe, judgement free space for clients to explore both their inner world and their connection to the world around them. Together we’ll identify and tackle the obstacles keeping you from enjoying the life you envision for yourself. Therapy should never feel like a one size fits all approach. If you have any questions about how my therapeutic style might fit with your goals, or if you have any questions about therapy in general, please don’t hesitate to call or email me. You can also book a session on our site or book a free 15-minute phone consultation. I look forward to meeting you!

Welcome, I am glad you’re here! I know the world can be heavy and we can feel lost in it, but you are not alone. You are worthy of receiving support and it would be my honour to offer that to you. I am a Registered Social Worker with a Masters in Clinical Specialization. I practice from an empathetic relational lens, and work virtually with teenagers, adults, and seniors. I believe having a trusting therapeutic relationship with you is the foundation of great therapy and key to creating meaningful change. We will go at your own pace, and we will take the time to explore the concerns and challenges that you’re experiencing. I use a person-centered approach focused on the individual’s story. I apply various evidence-based models to best suit you, which will help guide you towards achieving your goals. I integrate mind-body and somatic modalities into my work because I believe the road to healing starts with knowing, understanding, and creating safety within ourselves. I have experience supporting people affected by anxiety, self-doubt, identity uncertainty, stress, caregiver burnout and grief. I also have specialized training in Pain Reprocessing Therapy to help people suffering from chronic pain find some relief. I value working with every client and invite you to reach out. My virtual room is a welcoming space to all. Please note: I work with Ontario and Alberta clients. My schedule is in Eastern Time (EST). For Mountain Standard Time (MST), please subtract 2 hours from the schedule.

If you would like to learn more about how therapy works and how I can support you, please feel free to connect with me. You can book a 15-minute consultation to get us started.
