My passion for offering psychotherapy services is deeply rooted in my personal experiences. I wanted to fill a gap and provide representation to BIPOC individuals and couples who wanted to seek therapy, but wanted someone who had a similar background as them. I am a first generation Canadian, with parents who migrated from the Caribbean and Africa. I’ve used my life experiences to help shape my identity as a counsellor and help ground me in the work I provide.
My therapeutic style is grounded in collaboration, curiosity, empathy, openness, and acceptance, as I believe these are the crucial building blocks for creating safety and transformative lasting change. In therapy, my hope is to facilitate a process where clients can understand and make meaning of their experiences and feelings in a way that feels genuine and authentic. I also hope to carefully curate an environment where you can freely explore culturally sensitive matters. I value the connections I make with each of my clients and understand the complex interplay of biological, psychological, and sociological forces that influence us and shape our experiences together. My approach and experience is based predominantly on Emotion Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but I use various lenses and modalities to customize your therapeutic experiences because I appreciate that no two people are the same and can adjust accordingly to what suits your needs best.

You didnt come here by accident! You came here because a part of you is ready to start unpacking the many things youve tucked away over time. The best part is you dont have to do it alone, as exploring lifes hurdles, works better in collaboration.

Let’s be honest, life is hard, and in many ways, we juggle more today than we ever have!
Unfortunately, life’s challenges can leave us feeling stressed, confused, de-motivated—and in some cases, even helpless and hopeless. It can be a tough road to travel, and unfortunately, many folks feel like they’re walking that path alone, unsure of who to turn to or what to do next. As a therapist, I don’t think anyone should feel that way, so in my work, I commit to supporting my clients, guiding them, and connecting them to resources that can benefit them.
With past experience working with youth, students, adults, and parents, I enjoy collaborating with clients on a variety of challenges. From addressing past and current traumas to coping with physical and mental barriers, stress, anxiety, depression, family or career changes, I’ve helped clients find systems that work for them and achieve long-lasting change. Of course, there may be multiple layers to the challenges you face, and as a woman of colour, I know firsthand how some barriers can make circumstances feel particularly difficult or challenging to navigate. As a result, my goal is to consistently be there for my clients, help them consider various options and perspectives, work with them through the trials and tribulations, and remain a constant source of support, empathy and hope.
At the end of the day, I consider it a privilege to do the work I do and I would be honoured to work with you! Through our time together, it’s my hope that you feel like you’re building a stronger sense of confidence, clarity and community and that ultimately, you walk away feeling more capable and ready to take on whatever’s next.
I offer a free 15 minute consultation to any new clients and would be happy to respond to any inquiries via phone or email.
Thank you, and I look forward to working with you!
