If you’ve been feeling stuck, or otherwise wanting to fix some behaviour, or area of your life, I can help. I help people who are looking to optimize areas of their life. I help people with ADHD who want to learn techniques to live a more structured life. I help people wanting relief from anxious thoughts that are holding them back from the people, places, and things that they love. I also help people seeking to improve their relationships, whether they be romantic, familial, or friendships. I help people who need to improve their communication skills, and who want to feel more confident in every aspect of their lives. I primarily practice from a Biopsychosocial perspective. Modalities I will use in our work together can include CBT, Mindfulness, Inner Child Work, and Person-Centered Approach. I work with Individuals who identify as Non-Binary, Men, Women, Teens, and Young Adults. I take a collaborative approach and work with you to create a life with more happiness and joy. I understand how difficult it is to reach out and get help, and that’s why you can always expect an empathetic, validating ally on your side to help you reach your goals. Let’s work together to help you get any blockages out of your way and have a better life. Take the first step and email me at mia@lotus-psychotherapy.ca

When life doesn’t seem to be going according to plan we can be left feeling isolated, overwhelmed, and unsure of what step to take next. It is my belief however that we each have within us all we need to succeed and thrive in our lives, sometimes it just gets buried under all of our “stuff” and we could use a hand to rediscover it. I’m continually inspired by the strength, resilience, and creativity demonstrated in the life stories of the people I work with and consider it a privilege to be invited to walk alongside them for a chapter or two. I respect the courage it takes to reach out for support, so welcome, I’m glad you’re here! I feel it’s through supportive relationships that we foster growth and understanding about ourselves; and so I strive to create a safe, judgement free space for clients to explore both their inner world and their connection to the world around them. Together we’ll identify and tackle the obstacles keeping you from enjoying the life you envision for yourself. Therapy should never feel like a one size fits all approach. If you have any questions about how my therapeutic style might fit with your goals, or if you have any questions about therapy in general, please don’t hesitate to call or email me. You can also book a session on our site or book a free 15-minute phone consultation. I look forward to meeting you!

I am Adeola Adenugba, a Canadian-trained Psychotherapist and a Canadian Certified Counsellor. I hold a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and another in Gender Studies. I am a professional member of the CAMFT, PACCP, and CCPA. In my practice, I use the following approaches in my work with clients; Attachment-based Approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy, Family Systems Approaches, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Approaches, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Strength-Based Approaches and Trauma Focused Approaches. Being familiar with some of life’s struggles myself, I value the opportunity to support my clients and walk alongside them as they journey through life’s complexities. In my role as a therapist/counselor, I work with my clients on their personal, emotional, and mental health, to foster their general sense of well-being and peace of mind. I also work to promote the health of their interpersonal relationships and enhance peaceable, respectful, and loving relationships within the family structure. So, if you are facing challenges in your personal, family, marital, work, school, or social life, know that as human beings, we are not meant to “do” life alone. You don’t have to figure this out all by yourself. I’m here and I would love to talk to you, walk with you, and support you through your life’s journey and experiences.

I integrate narrative storywork, bibliotherapy, expressive writing, and spirituality to support your re-authoring process. Since individual and communal wellbeing depends on the kind of personal, intergenerational, and societal stories we co-write and internalize about ourselves and the world, we will work on re-writing paradigms that no longer serve you. We’ll also work on re-storying your life narrative by integrating your sacred dreams and ancestral heritage in your current reality so you can live a life that resonates deeply with your soul purpose! If you’re ready to reclaim your agency and write the new story your soul longs for, this space is for you. Call to start your sacred dreamwork journey today!
